Step-by-step instructions for using the -m- beer tap
This is a dry cold press, which means you don’t need to put any water in it.
It only takes 15 minutes to reach the right temperature. You therefore don’t need to switch it on several hours in advance.
The system has been sanitised and rinsed with water. If you switch it on without any beer in the system, the water will freeze and it will be impossible to use it.

1.
Plug the beer tap into a 230V socket

2.
The beer temperature thermostat is already set.
Do not adjust it.

3.
The switch at the back or on the front must remain in the OFF position.
If it is in the ON position, this may damage the machine.

4.
Connect the hose from the CO₂ cylinder to the head’s connector by pushing it in 1 cm.
To disconnect it, push the hose into the connector, hold the grey collar of the connector back, and then remove the hose.
It is essential that this is done whilst the CO₂ cylinder is closed.

5.
Open the CO₂ cylinder and the valve at the outlet of the regulator.
The regulator pressure is already set and should be approximately 2.3 bar.

6.
Attach the head to the barrel by sliding it on parallel to the barrel.

7.
Push the handle down to strike the drum, then open the black valve on the head.
Perpendicular to the direction of flow, the valve is closed.
In line with the direction of flow, it is open.
Bleeding the circuit:
- As the circuit has been flushed with water, it needs to be drained.
- To do this, take a 1.5-litre bottle and place it under the tap. Open the small flow valve on the right-hand side of the spout halfway (image 2); when fully up, the flow is shut off, and when fully down, it is fully open.
- There is no need to open it fully; set it to the middle position.
- Pull the handle above the spout towards you.
Around 60 cl of water will come out before the beer starts flowing. - There you go, enjoy your beer!
When the tap is hot, the first few beers will foam up a bit; to avoid wasting any, I’d advise you to set the flow rate to the minimum. After two or three beers, the tap will have cooled down, and you can then increase the flow rate.
Repeat this procedure if you are not going to use the beer tap for a while.
When you have finished using the beer tap, the first thing to do is to close the CO₂ cylinder, and then repeat the steps in reverse order.
